I CAN'T WAIT FOR HALLOWEEN!!!!!

Last year I had the time of my life decorating for Halloween. It was the first year that I didn't have to chaperon my girls with 10-15 of their friends all over creation. Last year, another parent FINALLY did the deed. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to miss that phase in their lives when they were young enough to trick-or-treat, but it's pretty much over for them. Now that they're teenagers, they've informed me that last year was in fact the last year. I got to stay home for the first time and scare the crap out of little kids. If I remember correctly even the high school kids were freaked out a bit.
I know I've got a couple of months left still but this year I've got to out do last year! WOO HOO!!!!
Let me know if you have any good ideas.
I wish I had a hologram machine.
I'd love to create a grave yard with holograms of ghosts.

Why does that not surprise me. Hell, I'm a full grown adult, and sometimes you freak me out.

Actually, you should probably ask Morbid Misanthrope (he's on my sidebar) for advice. This is right up his alley.

Morb REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY SCARES ME!
He just might suggest killing myself and coming back to haunt everyone! He might even volunteer to do the job for me! Thanks now I'm going to have nightmares!

And whatta ya mean I freak you out??? Just because I stalk you every now and then? Hmmmppfff~

Man, you really go all out for Halloween, don't you? Why don't you come over here and help me decorate this year. I'm practically the only one who does anything about Halloween here. The kids in this neighborhood only started trick-or-treating here about 6 years ago; some of them learned about Halloween in English class and started a new trend. I put up a jack-o-lantern one year and gave out candy and now our house is the most popular one on the block. Last year I put candles in the garage and made a Halloween cd, and we hung up some fake spider webs, bats and put out 3 pumpkins...it was a total success. Now, I have to think of something new and scarier for this year.

theresa that is so AWESOME!!!!!!
Are the other residents catching on to handing out candy and decorating? That is so cool!
Sure I would love to come out and help you decorate! I'd love to see the look on my husbands face when I tell him I'm going to Spain for Halloween. He'll think I'm talking about Google again though. :0)

You know how I feel about that creepy mask.

I thought I had made you an Adjutant Inspector a while back. Not sure what happened. Anyway, you're on there now.

Zoning Out Again said...

WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEAH BABY! I'm an inspector now!!!!
That's right! Watch out.
I hope I get a badge. :0)

I never met anyone who looked forward to Halloween like you -- wait, I still haven't met anyone that looked forward to Halloween like you cuz I haven't met you have I? Does visiting blogs count as an introduction?

Zoning Out Again said...

rjlight~ yes it does count as meeting! I have a handful of people I consider good friends even though we haven't met in person, all just from this whole blogging thing. It's an awesome thing!

I dress the place up good for Halloween. I get maybe 3 kids. Such a waste but at least I have fun.

Zoning Out Again said...

That's cool cunning!
Do you scare the crap out of them like I do? If you do, it's never a waste! :0D I hope my neighbors don't read this!

Theresa said...

By all means, come over and help me decorate. Tell your husband you'll be gone for a few days to close a big house deal. Of course, Halloween over there is much more fun. It's not really a Spanish holiday, so hardly anyone is into it.

Zoning Out Again said...

Great! I'll be right over! :0D

Indeed! It would appear that you've set the bar to high for yourself. There again, 2 months is an awfully long time.
Cheers

:0) I have a tendancy to do that! :0D

I think I'm just gonna give out slices of wonderbread straight from the bag this year and see what happens. The parents can't complain. 14 vitamins and whole grains and such. It's a good thing. *holds up his pumpkin with a face of Rosanne Barr carved into it for extra scarey times*

my bday is right by halloween, so it is my favorite time of year! Cant wait to see what you do! Funny -- the family and i always dress together--- wonder what we should be this year????

Zoning Out Again said...

Cunning~
THAT IS THE CHEAPEST HANDOUT I'VE EVER HEARD OF!!!
I like it!

Citymouse~ I love the idea of dressing up together as a family!
We did do that one year (without my husband) only we went out trick-or-treating. I made all of these really cool GIANT Sponge Bob costumes out of yellow egg crate mattresses. You know those things that are supposed to make your bed comfortable? Well the costumes came out so awesome. We were a group of 4 GINORMOUS Spong Bobs Running around and actually had other trick or treaters chasing us.
Sponge Bobs Sponge Bobs I wanna touch the Sponge Bobs. Those were just the College kids!

Cunning Linguist said...

*makes mental note. Dress like sponge bob and college girls want to touch you*. Hey, I'll read into these things what I want,k?

Zoning Out Again said...

Okay, whatever you say my friend.
Just make sure you ID them. I wouldn't want to see you on Prime Time, spread eagle on the ground getting a billy club massage.
Not pretty!

Theresa said...

Helooo! Anybody home? I missed you at the caption contest. Are you so busy planning for Halloween that you've gone into blogging seclusion?

Zoning Out Again said...

Actually,
I've been chained to my desk working like an enslaved dog!
I got a great new position at my Real Estate firm and so I think I'm going to have to take a blogging hiatus for a month or so.
It's all good though. I'll post another before I go on a work binge. :0)

Cunning Linguist said...

if yer gonna go you should have some guest posters. It'll keep things fresh. Of course *looks around slyly* if the good Captain is going to be one of them, be prepared to have some posts about fruit and their many uses. I'm just putting it out there to think about is all. Say n'more, say n'more.

Zoning Out Again said...

I should ask someone to come in and guest post shouldn't I. But the Captain? Well, he did do an excellent rated PG13 post over at Boobs place, and that was shocking so maybe he would behave over here too! Hmmmm...... Good advice Cunning! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!

Cunning Linguist said...

It's what I do.

Captain Smack said...

(looks at watch and taps foot impatiently)

Zoning Out Again said...

Is that tapping in regards to me asking you to do a guest post? :0D

Cunning Linguist said...

maybe he has a thing for timing Pat Boone songs? *ducks*

FINE! I'll be the devil's advocate here. Captain... would you please be so kind as to guest-blog a post? The pay sucks and the hours are evern worse. Think of the bright side, though. At least you have a creative outlet for the term "baby jesus" now :P

Zoning Out Again said...

Cunning~ PAT BOONE!!!!
Yikes! Yes Cappy, come on over and guest post. I suppose I should go over to your place and ask you there. :0)

Theresa said...

Hey ZOA, are you still chained to that desk? When's your boss going to let you come out to play? The blogging world is not the same without you.

Captain Smack said...

My tapping was meant to illustrate my impatience with your lack of posting. As for a guest post... hmm, we might have to work out some kind of "arrangement" (you don't even want to know what the Boob Lady had to do to acquire my services). You should talk to my agent for details.

Zoning Out Again said...

theresa~ Hello there! I miss you guys! Yes, I've been slaving away again, but I'll be back any day now! I did pop in to your place recently to see how you were doing. I lo-lo-lo-love all of the photos you posted of your vacation!
Great stuff! I'll be back with a voice thread soon! :0)

Captain~ I would LOVE for you to do a guest post here. Can you behave yourself though? ARRANGEMENT HUH? Hmmmmm.....
Poor Booblady...I can only imagine!

Cunning Linguist said...

jesus... if I can come back YOU can come back.

Zoning Out Again said...

HA! OKAY OKAY!!!!
I'm sorry, I've been obsessing about losing some weight! I've become quite the load! :0)
