Happy Birthday to Me.....Again!

WOO HOO, I've gained another year!
Last year leading up to today I've been saying and believing that I was 37.
I was really 36 all a long obviously, but I tricked myself into thinking that I was older. (Of course my subconscious knew the truth and was secretly thrilled that I was actually a year younger).

Now that I've come upon yet another dreaded reminder that I still won't be allowed to audition for American Idol,(heh), this time around it's a little more tolerable! I feel like I've cheated Father Time out of an extra year before the big 4.0. The other day someone asked me how much older I was going to be and I said "Oh yeah...37....again. Cool!"

Yes I know I sound like an idiot, but it gets me through okay! This is where you're suppose to chime in and say "no you don't sound like an idiot April,
that's brilliant!"

well??? *taps foot impatiently*
Anyhow, I hope I'll be able to pull it off again next year!

I meandered over to Dan's Blah-blah-blah Blog
and found out that we share the exact same birthday!(oops I have one to many blahs in there). Anyhow check out his post "You Despise Me, Don't You". HILARIOUS!!!!! You won't regret it!

6/29/07 Update: This might not be a great idea after all! I just realized I missed out on 36! COMPLETELY MISSED OUT ON 36! 36 IS A VOID! :0( Now I'm sad!

Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to me!
Happy birthday dear you and me!
Happy birthday to us!

It's so funny that you added a year to your age by mistake. I did that one year as well. Now I seem to subtract ... by accident OF COURSE! :)

Happy Happy Birthday, April! oh, and it's not 37, my dear, it's "twenty-seventeen"

trust me, you're still a kid. heck, I'M still a kid, and i'm, like, way older than you are. (mind over matter, girlfriend, if you don't mind, it reallyreally doesn't matter) ; ) xox

Dan ~ Thanks so much and Happy Birthday to you also! You have a lovely singing voice BTW! :0)
I like the subtraction thing too, I think I'll give that a whirl.
By the time my kids get to be my age now I'll be their age now. :0) Just keeping up with the whole concept of confusion in this post. :0)

Neva~ Thank you so much beautiful friend! That's what I'm going to go with this year. "twenty-seventeen".

I still feel like a kid too! In fact my kids are always telling me to grow up! It's pretty comical that my youngest child will hear a new song on the radio and ask herself out loud "hmm, I wonder who that is" and I always have the answer for her.
She thinks it's funny and says Geez Mom, there's something a little twisted about that don'tcha think? :0)

Happy B-Day! I've been thinking of myself as 37 since about last November, even though my birthday is in your namesake month. Cushions the blow.

Thanks Diesel!
Have you noticed that the older we get, the more cushions we need?
:0)

Happy Birthday, hotstuff. I know I'm late, but that's how us badboys are. Very inconsiderate, that's why you can't get enough. I didn't show up completely emptyhanded, however. I come bearing a gift, just for you. The gift of music.

Happy Birthday!!!!! I can't believe I missed it. I've been so bad about getting around to reading any blogs these days, with the kids home, the cat lost and our upcoming vacation. That is brilliant, I would have loved to find out I had an extra year. The same thing happened to my husband once when he was around that age too.

Captain Badboy~

I hope you find your kitty before you go on vacation so that you can relax and enjoy your trip!
As busy as you are it helps to gain an extra year!
Try Neva's idea! I like that a lot better! Sure it's pretty cool feeling like I'm doing 37 over again, but I just realized that I missed out on 36! 36 could have been a really great year!
Now I'm really missing saying I was 36! So next year, I'm taking Neva's advice and I'll be 36 and backwards every year after that.

Happy belated!

You're one tricky woman to be able to fool yourself... on purpose.

Now that you've done it once how can you trust anything else that you say to yourself.
E.G. April:"I'm hungry." April: "Am I really hungry or am I trying to fool me, again."

Food for thought.

BTW, I'll be 40 this year and it's no big deal. At least, that's what I'm telling myself.

Thanks Linnusman!
Yeah I'm tricky like that! Although, I'm ususally trying to convince myself that I'm
not hungry, and so not trusting myself will really screw up the diet that I can't seem to start. :0P

EG: Me: I'm not hungry. How can I be, I just ate a 7 course meal.
Self: I can't trust you, you liar! Are you forgetting the whole year of lies about our age? Yeah, thought so! Pick up the cheesecake and start snarfing!

Good luck convincing yourself the 40th Bday is no big deal! :0)
I myself plan to drink myself into a drunken stooper and streak around the neighborhood. I'm going to blame it on my depression! :0)

Happy Belated - hope it was a good one, but this time of year is always grand when you're a Cancerian.

By the way, I read your post below (picked up some tips, thank you) and saw that you were on Trading Spaces!!! Now that's something you'll have to get linked to. Who were the designers? Anyway, Happy Birthday 36/37...it's all good.

Thanks G!
I've gotta get a new post up!
I was just over at Captain Smacks place complaining that he hasn't posted in over 5 days! Yikes!

Yes we were on the show and it was really cool! We worked with Hildi over at my neighbors house and our neighbors worked with Laurie. I really have to figure a way to post the show. It was actually a funny episode. We were celebs in our city for about a week. :0)

What, are you too busy to post or something?

:0D Hee hee!
Yeah I'm just putting up a front so people will feel sorry for me! :0)
I have a post brewing.
It's about nipples.
Stay tuned!
